The concept of Colorful Trach Ties was inspired by my daughter who ended up with a trach tube after having neck surgery at the age of 6.

It all started during the holiday season in our local clothing store.  I had made a comment about how cute the holiday dresses were and that we should get matching ones for our two girls and get their pictures taken.  My husband pointed out that, unfortunately, the trach would stick out like a sore thumb. 

It was then that I thought that, rather than hiding the trach, embrace it.  After all, it is now a permanent part of my daughter.

There is no reason the trach tie can't be designed to match the outfit.  And from there Colorful Trach Ties was born!

Having two special needs children, it didn't take long to realize everything in the medical industry was either grey, blue or green. Everything seemed to lack color and style.

Colorful Trach Ties started with trach tie covers in 2009.    A few years later we launched our Suction Machine Carrying Case line focusing on DeVilbiss machines.  From there we added microwaveable heating pads / ice packs.  

We are always looking for ways to add color and style to the medical field.  We are hoping to expand to more medical machines in the near future.
