The concept of Colorful Trach Ties was inspired by my daughter, who received a trach tube after neck surgery at the age of 6. It all began during the holiday season in our local clothing store when I remarked on how adorable the holiday dresses were and suggested we get matching ones for our two girls to take photos. My husband pointed out that, unfortunately, the trach would stand out. That’s when I had the idea to embrace the trach rather than hide it, as it is now a permanent part of my daughter. There’s no reason a trach tie cover can't be designed to match her outfit. This led to the creation of Colorful Trach Ties, which not only celebrates her uniqueness but also provides stylish options alongside essential tracheostomy products, including suction machine carrying cases.

Having two special needs children, it quickly became clear that the medical industry was dominated by colors like grey, blue, and green. Everything seemed to lack vibrancy and style. Colorful Trach Ties began with trach tie covers in 2009, aiming to introduce more color to tracheostomy products. A few years later, we launched our suction machine carrying cases specifically designed for DeVilbiss machines. Since then, we have also added microwaveable heating pads and ice packs to our offerings. We are continually seeking ways to enhance the medical field with more color and style, and we hope to expand our range to include additional medical machines in the near future.
